When I communicate analysis results, I love starting with a TL;DR. It means "too long - didn't read" and is the part that I would want you to read if you didn't have time to read the more detailed version below.
Starting with a TL;DR is not only a kindness for the reader, but forces me to figure out what the key thing is that I'm trying to say, directly. (nobody wants a long TL;DR!)
So, instead of, "In our research into the data, we analyzed the impact of _____ on engagement survey results. We found that people who _____ had more favorable survey results across multiple key items, and other research suggests that we can increase _____ by doing more XYZ," I might go right to, "People who _____ were more favorable on our engagement survey and we should XYZ to make that happen more often. You can find more details below."
I never make my TL;DR misleading or sensational, only direct and clear. As the great Dr. Seuss said, "... my belief is, the briefer the brief is, the greater the sigh of the reader's relief is. That's why your books have such power and strength - you publish with shorth! (Shorth is better than length.)"
